Messiah’s Church is a Biblical Church
This means that we are established on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone (Eph. 2:20). Therefore, we confess the Scriptures of the Old & New Testaments to be the only inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. This governs what we believe and how we live.
Messiah’s Church is a Reformed church
This means that we are identified with those historic churches that re-formed according to the Bible during the 16th & 17th century Protestant Reformations. Therefore, we confess that God is sovereign in every aspect of a person’s salvation. He saves sinners by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. As a Reformed church, we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Larger Catechism, and the Shorter Catechism as our subordinate standards to the Bible. Visit the Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics for other useful Reformed confessions, catechisms, and works.
Messiah’s Church is a Presbyterian church
This means that we are governed by a plurality of godly, male elders (presbyters) who are chosen by the congregation to teach, protect, govern, feed, love, and care for the congregation. We are a church under the oversight of the St. Lawrence Presbytery, and among the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America. Therefore, we bear our Christian witness according to our denomination’s Testimony (included in our Constitution).

Messiah’s Church is a Church!
This means that we are real people, who have been called out of real sins, to a real Savior, to live a real life, in the context of real grace.
